Paragliding Introductory Day Course

2008 Course Outline:

The day consists of theoretical instruction and practical tandem flying. This course introduces you to the sport of paragliding. It has been designed for the student that has no previous paragliding or related aviation experience. It’s for those who have the desire to experience the thrill of free flight at the controls of one of aviations newest and most exciting aircraft. (The modern Paraglider)

Course Description: We meet at the “tow field” in the morning of your flying day.

First the Instructor will discuss the equipment, safety procedures and provide a pre-flight briefing.

Next we take you on a demonstration Tandem flight followed by a discussion of the basic theory of flight and how it applies to paragliding.

Tandem flight over Woodstock, Ontario

The next two flights will expose you to the basic control of the paraglider and if conditions permit may include “thermal” soaring flight. Each flight will be followed by a “de-briefing” of the events that took place during the flight and how they relate to the “basics” of flight.

If conditions permit the student will have the opportunity to practice “ground handling” on training equipment to further experience canopy control of the Paraglider.

All your flights accomplished on this day qualify towards HPAC or USHGA Novice certification.

Ready to fly? Call Air Vision Adventures at 519-220 1142 or 1-888-850-9995 to book your flight date. We look forward to flying with you.
